Allow me to introduce myself
Hello, I’m Emily, and I work as a Sports Injury Rehabilitator here at Mountain Sports Therapy, helping people overcome pain, injury, and movement limitations so they can get back to doing what they love.
I’ve had the opportunity to work within professional rugby and football environments, gaining valuable experience supporting athletes through injury recovery at a high level. Alongside this, I’ve also worked in a private physiotherapy clinic and within the National Health Service, where I have helped a wide range of people, from athletes to everyday individuals, manage injuries, pain, and improve their overall movement and function.
My interest in rehabilitation is also deeply personal. Having undergone spinal fusion surgery due to scoliosis, I completed my own rehab journey, which gave me a unique insight into both the physical and mental challenges that come with recovery. That experience shaped my approach to therapy and sparked a particular interest in scoliosis management and long-term care. I understand first-hand how important the right guidance, patience, and structured rehab are in achieving lasting results.
I also have a strong interest in ankle injuries and their rehabilitation, recognising how crucial they are to movement, performance, and injury prevention across many sports and daily activities. I enjoy helping people rebuild strength, stability, and confidence so they can return to activity safely and effectively.
I’m passionate about helping people take control of their recovery and performance through movement and education. I believe that with the right support and understanding, everyone can build a stronger, more resilient body that supports them in both sport and everyday life.
