Hey, I’m Adam and I’ve set up the Mountain Sports Therapy Injury Rehab Clinic to support the community I love, and anyone else who needs help with musculoskeletal pain or dysfunction.

I spent most of my twenties living overseas in the beautiful natural environments of Canada and New Zealand, working as a snowboarding instructor in the winters and pursuing other fun (and sometimes dangerous) outdoor activities throughout the other seasons. I picked up a few injuries of my own along the way that I have had to overcome, but without the appropriate guidance back then, I often rushed back to the sports I love and aggravated my injuries further.

I now have long term knee and shoulder ligament damage that I successfully manage for the long-haul with my knowledge and skill set as a Sports Therapist.  My understanding of how the body moves and performs enables me to exercise effectively to keep me pain free and capable of all my day to day tasks.  I can still enjoy the sports I love which get me out into nature to enjoy big adventures and lots of fresh air, I just know how to manage my body and my injuries appropriately so I don’t make things any worse.  I plan to still be snowboarding and mountain biking into my 70’s and beyond, so taking good care of myself is the key to that goal!

I’ve always loved helping other people with things, and now contributing to how people overcome issues that really impact their quality of life brings me a lot of happiness.  I believe that regular and effective movement is the best medicine for the body, mind and soul. My passion for teaching influences my approach to therapy, and I've had great success in helping many people learn how to move and exercise more regularly and effectively to maintain a healthy and capable body.  For this reason, I'm currently studying a Strength and Conditioning course to further enhance my own knowledge so I can provide the best rehab programmes possible for my clients, to help everyone achieve long lasting results.

Here are a few photos of me doing the things I love the most out in the mountains and forests!
